there are reports that a solider on guard outside a museum opened fired on a suspect..who reportedly attacked with a knife. video is just coming into our newsroom. the attacker is said to have been trying to enter the museum. a big security operation is reported to be under way at the louvre and a nearby shopping centre. the area has been cleared. the museum in the center of paris is one of the french capital's biggest tourist attractions. it is also home to the mona lisa. soldiers on patrol are part of security measures that have beefed-up in the wake of terror attacks in france in 2015 and 2016. we willo

nordstrom stores..and it has to do with ivanka trump the department store will no long carry her fashion shoe line. nordstrom announced yesterday that it will stop selling ivanka trump brand shoes the chain said it made the decision based on sales. the company says it offers thousands of brands and cuts about 10-percent of brands each year based on how they perform in a statement nordys says "in this case, based on the brand's performance we're decided not to buy it for this season" some say ivanka's sales are slumping due to her father's new found political career. but others say nordstrom is giving into a a boycott of trump goods labeled the grab your wallet campaign - although the store says this isnt a cpolitical move. new this morning delaware's governor says those responsible for a prison uprising that left a guard dead will be held accountable. inmates at a prison in smyrna took four hostages wednesday morning.. eventually releasing two of them. after a 20-hour standoff, a female counselor was safely rescued. but a prison guard, 47-year-old steven floyd, was found dead.

firefighters work to put out the fire. right now we understand there are no injuries. damage is significant. firefighters tell us that it started in the basement. our suzanne kennedy is on the scene. we will take you there live coming up in our 6 o'clock hour. happening today.. the man accused of murdering a d-c family and their house keeper is expected to appear in court for a status hearing. daron wint faces 20 felony charges including murder, kidnapping,extortio n and arson. he was arrested back in may of 2015 after allegedly setting fire to the savapoulous family's 3 million dollar mansion. officers found the bodies of savvas savapoulous, his wife, and 10-year-old son inside the home. their housekeeper was also found in the home and died at the hospital. dna evidence at the scene links wint to the murders. he has pleaded not guilty to all charges. fairfax county police have new information they think could help solve a murder. 83-year-old johan de leede was shot
